Senior Portraits: Amanda

A few weeks ago we shot some great senior portraits with Amanda who recently graduated from Traverse City Central. Amanda wanted to try something unique and pose with a horse.

This was our first time working with people and large animals for shots, but they were both great models. The horse's owner even had commands like "ears up!" to make sure we got some great shots!

Happy Independence Day! Frankfort, MI

There's nothing like the Fourth of July in Northern Michigan. This year, we skipped the Traverse City fireworks and made the drive out the Frankfort. We really think they do an amazing job out there and it's funded solely with donations.

Check out some of the beautiful shots we got this year. Can you believe these photos are untouched! The light was great. The photos really reminded us of a laser light show, so bright and full of color with the gorgeous contrast of Lake Michigan.

They Grow Up So Fast...

We just did a photo shoot for some friends near Hartland, MI.  Their daughter Celcilia was only a week old in these photos, but she hardly looks it. 

Bringing home a newborn is a busy time but they grow up so fast, make sure you capture it!

Basic Wedding Photo Checklist

Below is a basic checklist of photographs that you should request fro

m your photographer on your the day of your Wedding.

We encourage you to have discussions with your photographer before the big day about what you want captured.

Some couples want many formal portraits with extended family to remember the day, some want mostly personal shots of the happy couple sharing intimate moments and others want mostly candid shots of people enjoying their special day.

Talking about this in advance can help your photographers create a game plan of who is needed- when and where- to get the shots you want.

The process can also be sped-up if you have a no-nonsense friend or relative who can help corral the necessary participants ;-)
